I have been getting a lot of mail asking why it is taking me so long to respond to all of your emails. I am posting this here so everyone can see instead of trying to mail everyone individually. I do see and read all of your mail. Leah screens most of them to weed out spam and I do respond to all legitimate questions regarding spiritual things and music stuff. Please understand that I get dozens of mails a day with questions that take time to answer properly. I will not just respond with a fluff answer. There are many days when I just don’t have the time to answer, especially when on the road. I’m actually quite surprised that you even mail me with questions. I was even more surprised when Leah told me that my blog site has had over a million visitors. There are more people reading my writings than are listening to my music, which was what generated the blog to begin with!
There are 2 other items I would like to address here as many keep asking me about these also. 1st is why I don’t do social media. I will not address my disdain for facebook, twitter, instagram and the like here, for that would take to much space. Suffice it to say that never have so many uninteresting lives been so chronicled. All of it is nothing but apathetic reciprocity. Now some may say that this statement is pointless; but I say to them that the finger is speechless.
2nd is why I don’t publish my book. I have found that the publishing business is very similar to the music business. The key word here is “business”. What I write and play will never sell, so the prospects of being published are slim to none…and you can leave out the slim part! I have talked with several publishers and they want me to rewrite it so it is more acceptable to the mainstream or to self publish. I will do neither. I have no desire to promote myself or to rewrite what was given to me. Those that are meant to read it will find it. That book was dormant in me for over 20 years. Maybe one day I will tell the story behind it and how it came about and then you will understand why it cannot be changed.
